We have a group safari going this month  to Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar. We also still have a few spaces left in our group for the right travelers!
We have the middle part of the safari filled out, but I am looking for some recommendations on things to do in Nairobi (already got the Giraffe Center, Sheldrick’s and Karen Blixen Museum…and dinner at Carnivore) as well as Zanzibar…what is the most worthwhile and “can’t miss” things to do while there? What are the best foodie experiences?

In Nairobi:
- Visit the Nairobi National Museum to learn about Kenya's history and culture.
- Explore the Nairobi Railway Museum to delve into the country's railway heritage.
- Take a walking tour in the vibrant neighborhoods of Kibera or Mathare for a local perspective.
- Enjoy a day trip to Ngong Hills for stunning views and outdoor activities like hiking and picnicking.
- For foodie experiences, don't miss trying nyama choma (grilled meat) at local joints like Kenyatta Market or City Market. Also, explore the bustling food scene at local restaurants and cafes in Westlands or Lavington.
In Zanzibar:
- Wander through Stone Town's narrow streets, soaking in its UNESCO World Heritage architecture and vibrant atmosphere.
- Visit the Spice Farms to learn about Zanzibar's spice industry and indulge in spice tours.
- Relax on the pristine beaches of Nungwi or Kendwa and partake in water activities like snorkeling or diving in the clear turquoise waters.
- Explore Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park to spot the unique Red Colobus monkeys and other wildlife.
- For foodie experiences, indulge in Zanzibar's diverse culinary scene by trying local delicacies like seafood at Forodhani Gardens night market, sampling Zanzibari street food, and dining at rooftop restaurants offering stunning ocean views. Don't miss trying dishes like pilau, biryani, and Zanzibar pizza.

For Kenya, don't miss the Nairobi National Park for a mini-safari experience, the Nairobi National Museum for cultural insights, the Kazuri Beads Factory for locally crafted souvenirs, and the Maasai Market for vibrant shopping. As for Zanzibar, Stone Town's historic charm, spice tours, and culinary delights at the Forodhani Night Market are musts. Enjoy your adventure in Kenya!
